You MUST have someone help you measure carefully. NEVER measure yourself!! Your measurements will not be true to size

You will need:

Soft Measuring Tape
Pencil
Paper

If you have questions as you measure use the guide photo below for reference

Step 1:
Stand straight and tall
Have your helper measure across your neckline from the top of one shoulder to the top of the other shoulder. Make sure the measure tape is on the edge of your shoulder. Write down this number in inches and label this Measurement 1 shoulder measurement.

Step 2:
Stand straight and tall while holding your arms out to your side like airplane wings and have your helper measure completely around your body at the FULLEST part of your bustline. Write this number down in inches beside measurement number two. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP AND WRITE DOWN YOUR BRA SIZE!!! Your gown will not fit!! Please make sure you do this step correctly. Write this measurement down as number 2 bust measurement.

Step 3:
Stand staight and tall and breathe normally. DO NOT hold in your stomach for this measurement! You will want to eat and breathe during your prom. Have your helper measure completely around your body at the largest part of your waistline. This will be at different places for almost everyone, but it should be somewhere around your belly button. Just make sure to measure the largest part. We want yout gown to zip correctly. Write this measurement down as number 3 waist.

Step 4:
Stand straight and tall wearing shoes with heels the height you will be wearing. Have your helper measure from the spot on your stomach where you measured in step 3 to the floor. Have the measuring tape touch the floor but not lay on it. It is very important for you to stand straight and tall for this one.
Wrie this measurement down as number 4 waist to floor.

Step 5:
Again stand up straight, and breathe normal while takng this last measurement. Have your helper measure completly around your body at the widest part of your hips. Is important that you measure this time at the correct spot because if you are ordering a straight or fitted gown it is extremely important to have an accurate hip measurement if you want to sit in your gown without ripping it. Write this measurement down as measurement number 5. Hips

At this point you are ready to look at the size chart.

Choose the chart for your dress manufacturer from the list below. Each manufacturer has a different size chart and you will not always wear the same size from one manufacturer to another one. Be extra careful when choosing the size chart to look at.

Take your measurements and look at your chart, if your measurements do not all fall within one size then you must decide to order a size to accommodate all of your measurements.
